“Sometimes the smallest steps in the right direction ends up being the biggest step of your life” – Emma Stone
Hi! I’m Emma
My passion for listening and honouring the experience of others has led me to a career in psychotherapy. I believe that growth and healing are rarely linear – but rather a journey that can be beautiful, messy and deserving of patience and curiosity. I value the human experience and respect the courage it takes to seek help, heal, and take a step forward. As a therapist, I strive to be a thoughtful and attentive listener, meeting my clients where they are with openness and compassion. Together, we move at your pace with sessions always grounded in empathy, collaboration, and care.
My Approach To Therapy
My approach is client-centred, with you as the expert of your own experience. I approach your unique experience with compassion and curiosity, aiming to simply guide your exploration, healing, and growth. I focus on establishing an open, accepting environment that allows for personal discovery, space for trial and error, and the opportunity to build healthier relationships with yourself and others. I draw on mindfulness, strengths-based, and cognitive-behavioural tools if suited. My hope is that you see our sessions as a safe space and leave feeling supported and heard.
-
I provide a space where you are the expert, and I am there to help guide you on your journey. I support you with empathy, compassion, and genuineness as we work together toward your goals.
-
I’ll support you in building present-moment awareness so you can respond to what is in front of you with clarity and self- awareness. Being present can bring balance and a sense of calm when faced with stress and personal challenges.
-
I want to help you identify your own strengths and build on what already works for you! I want you to feel empowered to navigate challenges with confidence, reliability, and self-understanding.
-
Understanding the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviour can help recognize unhelpful patterns and replace them with more productive strategies. Together, we will create space for insight and build helpful tools that align with you and your goals!
What to Expect in Sessions
Everyone has unique life experiences and, therefore, deserves a personalized therapy experience that suits their needs. In our sessions together, you can expect to set achievable goals aligned with your personalized journey, explore your emotions, discuss coping strategies, and learn practical skills to help you navigate personal challenges. I aim to create sessions that foster insight, self-compassion and meaningful change at a pace that feels right for you. As the expert of your own life and experiences, aim to take a person-centred approach to our sessions.

How I Want You to Feel After a Session
I want you to walk away from each session feeling a little lighter, a little more understood, and more connected to yourself. Not like everything is magically “fixed,” but like things make a bit more sense and feel more manageable. My hope is that you leave with at least one thing that sticks — a new perspective, a small shift, or a tool you can actually use in your day-to-day life. Most importantly, I want you to feel like you can be fully yourself here — no pressure, no judgment, just a space where you can show up as you are and figure things out at your own pace. You don’t have to have it all together — we’ll work through it, together.
