My Approach To Therapy

Sessions with me are comfortable, focused, and built for real change. My approach integrates EMDR, trauma-informed care, and evidence-based modalities like CBT and DBT to help you make sense of what’s happening in your inner world and take steps that feel meaningful.

  • EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) helps the brain process distressing memories so they no longer feel as triggering or overwhelming. It supports healing by reducing the emotional charge of past experiences, allowing you to respond to the present with greater calm, clarity, and confidence.

  • IFS (Internal Family Systems) is a gentle, evidence-based approach that helps you understand and heal the different “parts” of yourself—like the inner critic, protector, or wounded child. By fostering compassion and curiosity toward these parts, IFS helps you reconnect with your core Self and create more harmony, balance, and self-acceptance from within

  • EFFT (Emotion Focused Family Therapy) helps strengthen emotional bonds between parents and children by exploring the feelings and needs underneath behavior. It supports caregivers in responding with empathy and confidence, creating deeper connection and trust while helping families navigate conflict and stress more effectively.

  •  DBT combines cognitive-behavioral techniques with mindfulness strategies to help manage emotions, improve interpersonal relationships, and tolerate distress. In therapy, we will work together to build skills in areas like emotion regulation and acceptance, while helping you navigate difficult situations and strengthen your overall resilience.
