“Healing is remembering the roots that ground you, while finding new ways to grow in the present.” – Inspired by Dr. Jennifer Mullan
Hi! I’m Emillie!
My journey into this work grew from a curiosity about how our family stories, cultural identities, and relationships shape us. I hold a Master of Education in Counselling Psychology and have experience supporting young adults, adults, and couples through stress, anxiety, family conflict, and trauma. In sessions, I draw on somatic therapy, attachment-based care, and inner child work to create a space of comfort and curiosity—helping you feel more connected to yourself and supported in your healing.
My Approach To Therapy
I believe therapy works best when it feels like a safe and supportive space to bring all of who you are—your culture, your story, your struggles, and your hopes. Together, we’ll explore what’s been weighing on you while also finding practical tools that make life feel a little lighter day to day.
My approach is integrative and not one-size-fits-all; I draw from somatic therapy, attachment-based care, and inner child work, tailoring eachsession to your unique needs. This way, therapy can help you feel more connected to yourself, heal from the past, and build stronger, healthier relationships.
-
Helps you tune into your body and nervous system, so you can feel calmer, safer, and more grounded.
-
Looks at how your past relationships shape your present ones, and supports you in building healthier connections.
-
Gives space to the younger parts of you that still need care and compassion, helping you feel more whole.
-
Encourages you to safely explore your emotions, so you can understand them better and feel more in control.
-
Creates a space that prioritizes safety, choice, and empowerment, supporting your recovery from past trauma at a pace that feels right for you.
What to Expect in Sessions
Everyone has their own journey, and since there is no one-size-fits-all all approach to therapy, I tailor all of my sessions to be specific to the client and their unique needs. You can expect to feel seen, cared for, and supported. If you are looking to make a change in your life, we will work collaboratively to set achievable goals, while also creating a safe and judgement-free space.
What I Can Help You With
I specialize in supporting adults struggling with anxiety, trauma recovery, and self-esteem. Many of my clients find themselves caught in patterns of people-pleasing, self-doubt, or family conflict. I also work with women of colour and adult daughters of immigrants navigating cultural identity and relational pressures. My focus is helping clients feel more authentic, empowered, and connected to themselves and others.

Your Therapy Experience – Real, Honest, and Supportive
-
I show up as my real self and create a “third space” where you can bring all the layers of who you are—your identities, stories, and lived experiences—without pressure to perform or be “just one thing.”
-
I show up as my full self—no therapist mask, just genuine support. Expect honesty, empathy, and real conversations that help you feel safe and seen.
-
I understand how challenging it can feel to navigate family expectations, cultural identity, and the pressures of adulthood. I meet you where you’re at, with openness and understanding.
-
My goal is for you to leave sessions feeling more connected to yourself, confident in your choices, and equipped to handle life’s challenges with resilience.

How I Want You to Feel After a Session
I want you to leave each session feeling a bit more centered and understood. Together, we’ll look at what’s been showing up for you—whether it’s stress, anxiety, family conflict, or patterns that seem to repeat themselves. I’ll guide you through both reflection and practical tools, like grounding exercises, somatic awareness, or strategies to strengthen your relationships and communication.
Much of my work centers on BIPOC clients and adult daughters of immigrants, and I hold space for the complexity of navigating many roles and expectations. Our sessions move at a pace that feels safe, collaborative, and culturally aware—so that each conversation helps you feel a little more at home in yourself.
